Let's keep it real. Never. First off once the two of you become intimate feelings are going to prevail and that's when jealousy, insecurity and other feelings settle in. Imagine giving your goods away and then someone else comes along and your goods are tossed like last weeks garbage. It's natural to feel hurt, betrayed or jealous. You can't give anything else besides yourself and if someone disregards what you gave them as if it's no big deal who would take this lightly? Sure, you could say that you would be okay with the "Friend With Benefits Arrangement" but as soon as you guys hit the sack, the rest is history. No one is willing or able to give away their goods without a commitment or catching feelings. So realisticall,y we all need to quit playing these games because someone is guaranteed to get hurt.

I don't understand the concept of "friends with benefits". Either you are friends, or you are girlfriend/boyfriend. If you are horny and don't have a steady, go masturbate! How do you "make love" to someone you think of as only a friend? How do you prevent more intense feelings from intruding on a good friendship if one person falls in love with the other and it's supposed to be a friendship not a love relationship? I couldn't do it. Good luck and God Bless.

I don't think so, at least not very often. I think that both men and women are wired to want to be with someone if they like them. So a FWB arrangement can only work if you have strict rules, like seeing them only for sex, not talking to other people about it, and only choosing someone who you could never date. I had this kind of arrangement (I am emotionally unavailable) but the guy said to me "Have you told your friends about this?" at which point I knew that things would get messy.

it usually doesn't because eventually one of you may develop stronger feelings about the other and want to be more than just friends. find out how the other person feels about relationships and you can do it without making them suspicious of you. think about anytimes that you or the other person were talking to someone else, was there any ounce of tension or jealous noticed?

Ive done it and no it doesnt work... someone always winds up catching feelings.... how could you not when you are giving your body over to someone... I fell for the guy that i considered my friend with benefits...and he didnt want a relationship with me... I moved on but it was hard to see him... shortly after i met a wonderful guy...he decided that he wanted me... i told him it was to late.... we were friends for 12 years.... we no longer talk... i havent seen or talked to him in over a year.... if you value your friendship... dont go there... it always ends badly!

I think it can. Until one of you gets involved with another person. As long as both parties are mature enough to handle it and know that it is ONLY friends with benefits and will never be anything more.

Friend can get jealous of other friends. There is no such thing as friends with benefits without emotions.

Depends on the maturity level of you both, and what's to gain/lose. Sometimes too many emotions get involved. Go into it knowing it is what it is, nothing more, nothing less. Just make sure to jump ship if the emotions start to run too high.

It will work... ONLY IF.. both of you are not the jealous type and if both of you know what "FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS" really is.
