I am a very good mother. my neighbor who just moved in above me threatened to call child services because my child was crying. I have never had any problems from any of my neighbors. They all know my son and us. tried to get him down for a nap and he cries sometimes. He is 19 months old, he throws the usual fits. should I worry how should I handle this woman?

thnks to everyone who responded I did talk to the landlord and apparently this woman is a little crazy. She has all ready called the landlord on her first day of moving in and told her that she was going to call the health dept because of a clogged drain. she sleeps during the day lives alone and had no children. I was offended more than anything that she would jump the gun like that. My child is very well taken care of . I love my son and if she can't get over that my child cries then she should move. And if she does call child services i won;t worry because I do and always have had food in the fridge at all times and the only thing anyone will find on my floor are blankies and toys. Thanks

No if your a good mom and are doing what right by your child then no you shouldn't worry. Kids cry your neighbor should learn to deal with it.

Whereas I am all for being a child advocate and I am a child advocate, if there was no abuse here and just a little boy throwing a fit because of nap time, you need to tell your neighbor to take a walk. Did she say if she thought that you had hurt your child? You can't call CPS and say this lady next door put her child down for a nap and now her little child is crying.
What does she think happened?

I am sorry you have a nosey neighbor.that bat should get a life. Children cry, dogs bark, ducks quack,...it is in their very nature to do so.I hope for your sake that your neighbor learns to develope some empathy and patience.
Child services are usually overburdened-but all reports must be documented and dealt with, so keep a clean house, plenty of good food for baby, and a decent supply of other essentials like diapers, etc.
also, make sure of the safety in your home (baby proof).

If the lady does call Child Protective Services, all they will do is come and talk to you and see what is going on. So they will ask you a ton of questions and they will look at your child to see if their is any bruises or broken bones. You are obviously a good mother so you should have nothing to worry about.

"she sleeps during the day lives alone and had no children." Oh by all means this woman is obviously a nut case...Sleeps during the day wow...lives alone OH MY GOODNESS! Has no children? Now that IS a nutcase...So she sleeps during the day...maybe she works nights...or maybe she's lucky enough to have a nice pension to live on so she doesn't have to work so she can sleep whenever the hell she wants to. She lives alone...Ok so she lives alone. She doesn't have to put up with anyone else's bullshit in her life...She doesn't have any children...How do you know? Okay she doesn't have any living with her...so what? Maybe she's raised her's? Or maybe she didn't have any by CHOICE...Not everyone WANTS to have children...
How should you handle her? There's nothing to "handle"...so she made a threat. BFD.

Sounds like you have one of two things 1. A nosy neighbor who needs to mind their business, because like the other person said, they probably don't have children or know how to deal with them. Or 2. You aren't telling the full story seeing as you are a bit uneasy. If you haven't done anything wrong, you shouldn't worry about anything. If you have done something wrong then you should correct your actions before it does come to that.

I'm afraid you do have something to worry about. CPS has a history of taking children away from happy, normal homes. They get more tax dollars that way. They will inspect a clean, orderly home and say it it a mess with dirt and food everywhere. Can you move somewhere else?
People should face criminal charges for calling CPS and lieing about a situation.

If it were me, I'd tell her to mind her own business. If she called and told CPS that your kid was crying, they'd laugh in her face. However, she might call and lie and say you were beating him or something. Sounds like she doesn't like kids and doesn't like the noise. Shame on her. If she doesn't like it, she can move out! Talk to the manager and ask for their opinion on the matter. Sounds like you're in for more problems with this psycho.

greater beneficial secure than sorry. i could get in touch with the employer and function them look at the abode this toddler is going to. optimistically they are going to be waiting to verify if this is sparkling sufficient and secure sufficient for a small toddler to be in. considering this toddler won't be in a position to speak for itself, somebody desires to look out for this is maximum suitable hobbies. WHY a grown guy who has fathered a toddler is residing at abode with is mom & Dad is questionable. except this is in basic terms a remember of loss of artwork, then this is comprehensible. in my view, women human beings would desire to alter right into a splash greater selective with who they opt for to have a toddler with. A "guy" that doesn't artwork or continues to be residing at abode together with his mom and dad, isn't precisely solid "father" fabric. regrettably, those unfavorable babies who have no selection interior the subject are born into circumstances like this. and a great form of cases it does not prove nicely. fairly for the toddler. unhappy, unhappy, unhappy!!! Being a solid verify demands very a great number of accountability. And if a man or woman does not have a solid abode or an sufficient economic subject, they have no company having toddlers.

if you are doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about if she does call, child services might come to your home to investigate but if they see nothing is wrong then they will leave you alone. and may see that your neighbor is just trying to cause trouble. all in all she will look stupid.
