After a year you should know something about her. Women love it when you listen to them. If you buy her something that shows you're listening she'll love it.

Example: She talks to you about wanting to learn how to draw. You buy her a sketch pad, a set of pencils, and a book on drawing.

This will win her over much more than jewelry will.

Well, when I got my paper planner at the back it has a traditional calendar. The first year anniversary you are supposed to give paper the second cotton and so on. For paper you can try purchasing some tickets to a movie she's been wainting to see or some tickets to a game or concert she wants to go. You can also try a gift certificate to her favorite store. I suggest you don't buy flowers because as much as we girls love them we only see them for a week the most and the tickets are unforgetable time spent together or buying something we like. At night during a nice dinner suprise her with your gift and later on suprise her with the best s*x ever!!!!!!

Congrats on your anniversary. I think some people suck at buying gifts because they don't take the recipient into consideration as much as they should. Try to think of something unique about her - a favorite hobby or pastime of HERS. Don't worry so much about what "other people" do.

For example, I LOVE to build things - but my ex constantly gave me jewelry, flowers, etc...nice, but not what "did it" for me. In contrast, I love to hear my new (and very observant) husband brag to his friends that he's married to a woman who would rather have power tools for Christmas!

Good Luck...and don't stress too much over it. She obviously loves YOU...not the gifts you might buy.

If you're no good at buying presents, why not tickets to something you know she likes, something different like the ballet or the theatre? I always find that some kind of beauty treatment always works well, or cook her a meal and treat her like a queen. As long as you really make an effort, she'll love it!

this has nothing to do with paper, but on my husbnad and I's 1st anniversary we didn't have much money at the time and I made him a CD with all songs that reminded me of each other. Inside joke songs, or some love songs... he really liked it. I just put in the cd player and he wasn't aloud to see what songs were on there and we went through each one. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Does she like jewelry? You don't have to get anything real expensive, but James Avery has some cool silver rings that she might like. Alot of Celtic stuff. Depends on what dshe likes. Give me more info.

A simple piece of jewelry is nice...necklace, earrings, bracelet, but steer clear of ANY kind of ring! Pick out something that you would like to see on her, just pay attention as to what metal she likes - yellow gold, white gold, sterling silver. Like I said, keep it simple and not expensive.

I think a weekend getaway is an awesome idea. It's the off season for travelers so prices are pretty reasonable.
