I konw they use gold, nickel, platium ,but the wiers that connect the componets , what are they made of ?

the wiers are a white metal , I have a peice right here , its kinda heavyand its a bundle of very thin wiers , like as thin as hair, but they are white , what could they be ?

Wires are almost always plain or zinc plated copper.

On older systems, the connector "pins" on cards are gold plated because gold doesn't oxidize. Salvage companies often buy old computers for their gold content. One computer won't be worth much but hundreds of computer boards might.
