My question is this-
Why aren't more CHRISTIANS rallying against people like Fred and Shirley Phelps? I saw more outcry from the Jews over the Passion- and that was a STUPID movie. The Phelps family is potentially damaging to not only the people they harass, but the Christians as well.
These people DO make a mess of your names and DO further stain your religion's reputation- So why aren't there more Christians doing anything about it?

If any Christian group were to stand up against Westboro Baptist Church, it would ultimately mean disagreeing with the idea that homosexuality is sinful and that God does not use things like natural disasters and war to punish people. Both of these things are Biblical concepts. The Phelps family just goes to extremes in drawing attention to them.
No major Christian organization in this country is going to risk looking pro-gay ... even if it means conveniently ignoring people like the Phelps.

Osheas next to Harrahs has several fast food restaurants. Inside the MGM there are several in their food court. Fashion Show Mall has a food court on the second floor. Eat at the 24 cafes in the casinos. They have the cheapest and good food. Stay away from the name restaurants.. little food for lots of money but it is good food. The Buffets on the strip are way over priced and the lower priced ones aren't that good. You would have to travel off the strip to the locals casinos to get good buffets at good prices. Do not use room service at any time. For snacks or even bottled water just go to Walgreens or CVS right there on the strip. You will get everything at a reasonable price even souvenirs. If you want a nice dinner and a show go to the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. It is a dinner theater. You have to eat your meal with your hands, no utensils and the show is fantastic. All of that for about 50 bucks each. Most shows cost twice that with no food served. Some advice is to eat a good breakfast and a late big lunch and skip dinner. Dinner prices are extremely high for the same dish as lunch. Just have a snack at a fast food restaurant for dinner. Come and have a good time without spending a fortune.

First of all, in my opinion Fred Phelps and his followers are hateful, extremely non-Christian and all around bad people. If you, or anyone else asks me about Fred Phelps I will give my opinion.
I am most certainly not going to go to a military funeral and protest the protesters, do you see what I am trying to say?
Obviously Phelps wants attention. If no one gives him any attention maybe he will go away.
Kinda like the trolls around here.

The Phelps' say what most Christians only have the guts to think. A lot of Christians secretly endorse those scumbags.

It's because a lot of Christians agree with one or more of the "Church's" messages. The only reason they haven't been gunned down is because they are Christian, imagine if it was a group of Muslims? They would be dead in minutes.

Christians have to admit, that the Phelps message of God as a judgmental murderer, is pretty easy to back up with the OT.
Its hard to argue against God Hates Fags when the bible says he will torture them for eternity because of their need to be with members of the same sex.
The truth is that, according to the Bible God is willing to burn and torture most of us for a requirement of tangible evidence.

What would you propose I do about it? I honestly feel they are doing what they do for the publicity. If that is the case, isn't the best idea not to give that to then? God will judge them someday. He will judge their hearts, something I am not capable of doing.
The wrath God has for sinners is much more damaging than anything I could ever dream up of doing.
