About 3-5 times a day, i feel like my body is slowly falling, climaxing in about a minute or two to a sudden feeling of drop. This happens when I'm sitting, sleeping or standing up, and I hold on to an object or wall to prevent a seeming fall. I have had this for some seven years, and daily frequency seems to increase through the years.
Any idea what's wrong with me? I'm otherwise in good physical condition and health. I am 27, male.
Can't wait to hear intelligent, helpful responses !
Thank you.

get to the doctor's right away. this could mean several things. It could be as simple as an inner ear infection, but it also could be something more serious. My husband has Meniere's Disease, which causes vertigo. A friend has a disability, though, that makes her fall. I wouldn't play with it. I'd go to the doctor.

I've had bulimia, depression and anxiety but i take pills for them now, it can get like that if not treated properly. If you're in a teen state of mind then it's normal but you should consider seeing someone anyways Most teens that expierence it will grow out of it but some don't and it gets really bad. It can also run in families. My mom, two sisters and brother have all been depressed.

It sounds like you have a concussion. When you get one you don't technically black out or anything your brain just gets bruised and does need medical attention. Or when you get older you will have a high chance of having chronic migraines or worse... So I think you should go to the doctor ASAP you can even get one if something falls on your head o_o

This sounds like the same sensation that many of us get right before falling asleep as our muscles relax. I have been getting it more and more while I'm walking though. It seems to me that it starts in my head that I know I am going to fall and then I get that falling sensation. I don't know what to tell you, maybe we're both freakin' looney toons!

ok that might be happening because you might starting to have ear problems. this is the reason why...
Another type of balance disorder is labyrinthitis. This is an infection or inflammation of the inner ear causing dizziness and loss of balance. The labyrinth is the organ in your inner ear that helps you maintain your balance.
that's as far as i get it has to do with your ear because; the part of the inner ear that is responsible for balance

Our sense of balance comes from within our inner ears. Go get a check-up to see if there isn't anything wrong with you.

I cannot diagnose as I am not a doctor, but I CAN tell you that you need to see a dr. before you do fall and hit your head. You can die from just that. I hit my head on the way down once (tequila was involved) and woke up in a puddle of blood so falling can be very dangerous.
Look up vertigo, not the movie, the feeling and see what causes it.

It sounds like a form of vertigo. Have you been to an ear nose & throat specialist? Usually this is a symptomatic of fluid build in the inner ear.
