This is not a question. It is a statement feebly disguised as a question. You make the assumptions that all Christians have good fortune in this life, all Christians live in the richest nation ever to exist (Norway? They have the best distribution of wealth.), all Christians derive their good fortune from living in said rich nation, and that all Christians do not realize this unfounded "fact". Your "question" merely reveals your own closed-minded ignorance. Good day, Sir.

EDIT: Ray Patterson, most Norwegians are Lutherans. Despite what the Pope says, that does not make us atheists.

It actually is all God.

Consider this: There are plenty of people who are poor, victims of ill fortune, poverty, disease, mental problems, etc. right here in America. Living in the richest nation ever to exist isn't helping them one iota. In fact it adds to their misery, seeing others around them prospering while they are suffering.

Thank God for your good fortune in anything in any time or place. He's really and truly the one responsible for it. He's also the one who's responsible for you being born as an American in the first place. He could have placed you in Zimbabwe or Haiti, or some other place like that.

No, I Thank God that I am blessed to be in a free country where I can Worship the Lord and Speak His Word, The thing with this country though is thier are too many objects and things pretty on the eyes, and alot of people find that far better tempting, to pick up the Bible and Choose where they will spend eternity. No my good fortune is that I have God, and that Jesus went to the Cross for my sins, and I can share this with others, and I pray that we can reach others through missionaries and such to spread that word as far as we can spread it. God Bless!

That is one of the problems in this world.
People think that coming closer to God is all about getting more money.
In fact Yeshua promised trials and tribulation and indeed he commands that we should be generous.
You cannot be generous without giving away your money.
start with 10% of ALL your paychecks you will ever recieve.

other than that.
the time has come that miracles have started spreading, it has started spreading at our local groups and so it is not about money why I feel blessed.

if your life is about greed. well it is very difficult for you to enter the kingdom of God.

people tell me that you dont need to believe in God to be a good person.

well then, put your money where your mouth is.

start being generous and take your income to needy people like those in africa rather than complaining where God sent the aid for them. its in your bank . it is now your responsibility to bring it to them.

start with 10% of every paycheck you get, then step it up if you really want to stand by your statements that you dont need God to do the same things that Christians do.

10% to start with.
Then there are first fruits.
Then there are offerings.
Then there are donations of your time, helping out.
On top of that while forgiving everyone
praying for your enemies rather than wishing for their misfortune.
truly love others and love your enemies..

ive seen few authentic christians and they do work on these things.
i know many nonbelievers, none of which even think about these things. maybe a few donations once a year, just because they want to appease their guilt over their greed.

Why is it that atheist think that God had nothing to do with making America the richest country that ever existed?

Considering this country was founded by pilgrims and this nation was built on Christian ethics, even the President have to take an oath through the Bible, its safe to say this country is blessed by God since the beginning.

Unfortunately, we've turned away from Him.

Actually most Norwegians are atheists...

Well, don't know the exact numbers. But the US is definitely not the richest country ever... in total GDP it is, but that doesn't really help individual citizens, does it? And GDP per capita isn't the same as well-being either: see Bill Maher's "America isn't #1"

I would probably attribute the continuity of our government for hundreds of years to God yes...as we were founded on His principles.

Other non Christian countries have turned over power as many as 20 times in the same span of time.

Our wealth and the destruction of life in pursuit of it should be attributed to men.

Good fortune?

We have been called by God to salvation. Good fortune isn't promised to anyone in this life just because we're saved
