I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra Special Edition. It just seems like whenever I'm at a stop light, other cars speed up way quicker than my car. How do I make it go faster? Are the other cars just faster because they have experienced drivers in them? Am I just supposed to step on it until the little needle points to like 8? I'm confused as to why my car doesn't pick up speed as quick.

Aw man! Can someone give me the gas milege on my sentra?

THis sucks because whenever I 'race' with my friends, my car doesn't pick up speed fast enough!

Well first off I hate to break it to you but the Nissan Sentra is not a race car. Don't get me wrong they are great on gas and very reliable but are not built for speed. If you want a lil more pick up I would suggest starting with a cold air intake ( perferably made by NISMO) and an after market exhaust (again by NISMO). The difference in the horsepower will be minimal and you may not even be able to notice. You could also look into getting an aftermaket chip, but if you are still under warranty this may void it, so I wouldn't suggest it.

Just one year newer you motor would be 2.0 liters your motor is a older designed 1.8 GA motor while quite good it is not a rocket ship off the line. Just keep doing what your doing those other cars arn't getting the gas milage your getting. Floor the throttle once a while it won't hurt the motor... just to see what wide open throttle can do. But don't go faster than the posted speed limit.

Is your engine well maintained?

Adding a cold air intake will improve it and it will sound like a beast when you step on the gas?

Do you slam it all the way when the light turnes Green???

Get a Stick transmission. I bet you have regular street tires?

Just make it look fast and it will be fast. AD some NOS dat **** is dangrous though it will make your **** quick.

u need to press on the pedal more generously.
