Should I call? If so when and what should I ask or say?
The interview was on Oct. 17 and the last round of interviews was conducted on Oct. 22. They mentioned 2 weeks from Oct. 17 which would have been yesterday.

You should call and just say, "Hello! I haven't heard from you, so I thought I'd call and check the status of my application, as I am really interested in working with your company."

I interviewed for a position almost 4 weeks ago and two weeks went by before I heard back. They called to tell me I was still in the running but they had other interviews. Then 2 weeks later they finally called me and offered me the job. If it's a large corporation this is the norm. Takes forever.
Just sit tight - they'll contact you if they're interested. Otherwise you will get an email or letter in the mail saying thanks but we found a more qualified candidate.

It's absolutely fine to call if they said two weeks and the two weeks have passed. Just say that you're calling to see where they are in the process.
Hiring can get held up by a number of things. One of the decision makers could be out sick or on vacation. Sometimes - you are in a number two slot - and they are trying to get their number one candidate on board - but they are also trying to keep you "warm." They may be taking time to do reference checks and waiting for some key people to get back to them. You just never know.
Hope you get the job!

Wait a few more days.
Call on Monday.
Say that you're just calling to follow up on the interview you had a little over a week ago.

Yes, you can definately call. It shows initiative. Either they have not made a decision yet, or they already picked another candidate.

Yes, do call them and ask if they've made a decision yet. It shows you're pro-active and interested.

cal! I would call and just ask if the information has been reviewed and ask if the references had been contacted. If they were contacted and you know everything they say should be good, you can be pretty sure that you have the job
