I am going on an interview tomorrow and somewhat unsure on how I should present myself.

Should I show them how smart I am or will that just turn them off? I have a passion for what I do but fear to show it for they might think that I am just trying to show them off.

Should I act slow and weak, letting them feel that I am trainable and willing to learn? The obvious answer is somewhere in the middle but where and how?

Don't know much about how to sell my self, so please help me out. How should I present myself?

Just be confident, friendly, and sincere. Make sure you dress neatly and appropriately for the position for which you are interviewing (don't wear a suit if you are interviewing at McDonald's; Don't wear jeans and a t-shirt if you are interviewing at IBM).

Being confident is most important. Not bragging and arrogant, but like you know what a good catch you are. Interviewers can smell fear! 8^) So be relaxed, and act like you're pretty sure you'll get the job.

Listen carefully when they talk to you. Look right into their eyes and nod from time to time or say 'uh huh'. That's what shows you are easy to train, willing to learn, that you are willing to listen carefully.

Otherwise just be yourself. They can tell if you're being phony.

The best thing to do is be honest. You have a passion for your skill, there is nothing wrong with that. But you can also show them that you are willing to learn new things. That does not hurt either.
Be yourself. Good Luck!!

Just be candid - be yourselves, but well damn prepared !

My advise, be sincere but passionate - all employers would love it - but the sincerity and passion is deep in heart - read in your word and body language - when you have it, it'll naturally seen ! Expert in HR could see it ! Question is, do you have it - if not , re-think to have it !

As in technical, that's the areas where you should be very well prepared.

In the end, being honest, if the work doesn't suit you - why rush to it ?
