Purpose of religion is to create a platform, from which person could rise spiritually.

You mean, what is religion for? It's human invention that serves several purposes. People on the whole like having some kind of dogma, ritualized expression, written moral code, personal purpose, and answers to philosophical questions. Religion is one way to get these things.

I don't agree with the idea that religions have been invented TO control people. Again, they're just a natrual byproduct of humans, who are primates with good pattern-seeking skills and like to emotionalize through symbolism. Religion is fine when it's a private tool. There have certainly been times when religion has been used as a means of control, and countless times when people get into a religion for the wrong reasons. But practically ANY ideology can be "used to control people".

yes, the purpose of religion is to keep people from thinking for themselves. so far, it has worked pretty well, but thankfully people are becoming more intelligent and religion is slowly disappearing.
