Excellant thought - I would infinitely rather be called under the Jurisdiction ("speaking of the Law") of Christ rather than the denomination ("out of the name of") of men

Oh Wow! Now I've heard everything. JURISDICTION!!!???
I thought that I was the religious nut on this forum but that takes the cake. Oh well, your question is well put and original. Thank-you. I'm curious to see what others will say. I'm going to email Scneb and Kidd! on this one. I really want them to weigh in.
I Cr 13;8a
Again I reiterate. I take my hat off to you fatman. I no longer claim the title of "THE" religious nut on this venue. You now have the mantle. LOL

There is one ecclesia (church) and one Lord, and one God.

This church is not designated by man (as obviously done by the Catholic church). But rather is designated by God according to the individual heart. You can have the best and most biblical church body, yet have wolves within the sheep. When Jesus spoke of the Parable of the Sower, He was not referring to denominations, but rather the individual WITHIN denominations.

Considering that a good majority don't teach what's actually written in the Bible, it doesn't seem to make 2 much of a difference (however, I do understand the point you're making).
