Ok, what do you think it means... psychologically... Background: I live some distance away from my parents, and I have always hated my dad.
I saw both my mother and my father standing there in a mirror. I saw my dad with a rifle (in fact, it was my own rifle) -- for some reason, I could not see myself in the mirror... I saw my dad standing at an angle from the mirror further back, and my mom directly in front of the mirror.
My dad aims at the mirror and fires a shot into the glass (not directly at my mother) but at the spot in the mirror where my mom was (in the mirror)...
The bullet goes through the mirror, and the glass shatters -- however at the same time, the "real" figure of my mom -- the one causing the reflection also fell -- bleeding to the ground...
I woke up so damn distraught... that was just so disturbing...

bleeding on the ground = denial, unable to be accepted
There may be some unhappy family background in you.
Projecting mom being shot in the mirror but bleeding on the ground shows sign of denial. In other words, due to the fact that you don't like your dad, you projected him as a bad guy. Shooting can symbolize verbal attack. Mirror in this case means reflection of your true feeling. In other words, you probably hated him so much and you are feeling helpless and standing there not able to help your mom shows emotionally you are helpless.
You probably need some help about some anger you stored in you. In translation, you can't release it all but reflect it in the dream.

Is your father an abusive person? In any sense, not just phsyical? There must be a reason why you hate him... perhaps you have seen him hurt your mother before, or heard him make her cry when your younger and you cannot remember. Or perhaps he hurt you and your afraid of him doing the same to your mother. You see them in the reflection of the mirror, because you cannot see them directly. Your not in the image because you have gotten away from the situation. The reflection of them shows that your not really intune of how the situation is. Also the mirrors are considered spiritual/emotional gateways. Perhaps you subconciously think that your father is abusing your mother in a non-physical way.

This is what your dream means. The mirror is a reflection of what is truly going on inside the heart of your dad. To shoot someone in a dream represents wounding them. So what I mean is that they can be wounded by words, actions, intentions, or by something he didn't do. But whatever it is your dad did is draining the life out of your mom.

Maybe you just have to throw away your rifle?
Ones i have air gun it is not nice having it, because all sorts of weapon some how it whisper to your ear or mind and saying use me.
Scary?
