As I understand it God created the universe and an Angel called Lucifer who rebelled against him (Like an angry teen) formed a group of evil angels and got kicked out of heaven. So, God (the creator of the Universe) did not create the devil as we know him. The devil turned evil on his own.

God did not created the devil. What God created is good angels.

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Why did the angel became a devil or Satan?

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

if i was the creator of the universe, i would ceate the devil because i believe that the devil is the reason why we have some of the cool things that we have now like scary movies for instance. the devil had to have something to do in the mind of the people that created the movies.

Now since this is a fantasy question I believe I am at liberty to say what ever I like... I would have given everyone the same brain mass , no ego! and men the same sized penis.. People are devils..jealous, evil and stupid. It has nothing to due with Evolution or a Creator..

God did not create the Devil. The devil is a man made creation made by religion to keep us in fear so they have power over us. If you truly want an answer go on line and find a book called Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. I have found it very interesting reading.

I can't imagine being the Creator without His brain, much less why I would do things the way He has. The Bible declares that His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither His ways ours. I guess that leaves us to either trust God or listen to a created devil tell us lies.

God did not create the devil as he's know today. Instead he was created at first as an angel, a free thinking individual as we are. It was satan's own doing as to what he has become. He started out as an angel and became the devil as a rebellion to god, he was envious of gods superior power.

The story goes that God gave Lucifer free will, unlike the other angels. (a kind of experiement I suppose). He then decide to take the dark side, and then became the Devil of his own accord. For example if you believe that God created man, that's fine, but he doesn't control every single person's thoughts and actions.

Funny :)) ...I guess God was somewhat competitive ... than again there's the Bogumilist theory about God and the devil having equal powers from the beginning(that implies God not having created the devil at any point) and working together in order to create the world...sort'of like Apple and Microsoft...or...sth like that

well if you read the bible you would know Lucifer, aka the devil, used to be an angel, I believe he was the head angel of the chior or something, therefore when he was created he wasn't the devil...he let things get to his head and wanted to be a ruler also so God then kicked him out of heaven with some of the other angels who wanted to follow lucifer and they became demons...

that is if you believe in the bible....which I'm thinking you do since you are asking about creating the universe.
