Part of my dream included finding a ring of keys on the ground. But these keys didnt have grooves in them, in fact they were flat rectangles of metal with words etched in them. I read each key. But when I woke up, I could not remember any of the words. Are keys literal, as in "the key to the puzzle", or do they have any other meaning?

This is what your dream means. The ring of keys represent the keys to success in your life. However, the reason the keys have no grooves is because inorder for the keys to fit or unlock doors in your life "pressure" must be applied to the keys for the grooves to be cut. Basically, this dream is from the Lord. There will be pressure applied to your life and by the pressure being applied to your life you will learn truths which will give you the answers you need to get where you need to go in life. These truths will be the answers you need to unlock doors in your life.

Are you sure they were keys if they were flat and rectangular. Sounds more like military dog tags to me. Which usually include the person name, blood type, etc. Maybe thats not what they said but thats what it sounds like they were. If they are dog tags amybe it s suppose to resemble a friend or family member you have in the service and you miss them. Or it could mean your looking for something or someone that you have the keys to you just can't find what they belong to. Try this website and type in keys:
