yes frontline is ok, my vet told me that i could use it on my dog even when the pups were 3 days old. Did the other vet think you were using the frontline spot on drops? Because you can get frontline as a spray-this is the one which is safe to use. Puppies and kittens from 2 days of age may be safely treated. Read the information down below about frontline, it does tell you puppies from the age of 2 days, also the ***** can have it applied, but not on her boobs as puppies will end up licking it.

That's a load of rubbish, you most certainly can used Frontline on pregnant animals - just read the instructions on them! Frontline is unique in that it stays on the skin, so it won't be affecting the babies inside.
Ring another vets - ring any vets, they'll tell you it's OK to use! These vets sound rubbish. And just so you know - the spray version of Frontline is safe to use on newborns from 2 days of age. I'm astonished any vet could be unaware of proper flea and worm regimes for pregnant animals.

I wouldn't use any flea treatment on a pregnant b*tch.
The best you can do is give her a bath with regular shampoo and let it sit on her for 15 minutes or more. This will kill a lot of the fleas.
Then treat the HOUSE, since this is where most of the fleas are. Make sure you use a product that kills the eggs and larvae as well as the adults.
Take her out while the house is being treated. Better yet, give her the bath somewhere else while the house is being done.
Repeat if necessary.

I wouldn't risk using any flea treatment on a pregnant. b1tch. Only thing you could do is buy a flea comb. As the vet said - concentrate on the cat - that's where dogs usually pick up fleas. Try adding a garlic capsule to her food - that is supposed to deter fleas and is not toxic in small amounts, it has been used for years to treat fleas on dogs.
Have a look here:

Not sure about Frontline (we don't have it in Canada) but I believe you can use Advantage on a pregnant animal because it is not absorbed systemically. There should be an 800 number of the box you can call or read the leaflet inside.

First of all... if you are using the word properly you can say ***** on Yahoo! Answers. That is what a ***** is.. a female dog. Second of all I'm pretty sure you can use frontline.

I did not treat my female with any flea and tick treatments while she was pregnant. my vet advised against it. Now something I have heard that they treat very young puppies with is Pert (human) shampoo. I would talk to your vet and see if you can use that on her.

I THINK you can safely use Johnsons 4Fleas Tablets on pregnant and nursing b itches.
Obviously you'll need to double check, but I THINK you can....they are quite a new product, but appear VERY safe, and VERY effective.
Good luck.
