G/gods with their blood sacrifices, martydom and blood atonements, illustrate the the utter barbarism of ancient religous practices. We could dismiss it as merely the passe superstion of primitives if it wasn't still considered sacred today.

How did premeditated deaths become the ultimate show of love to a G/god? How does a G/god use blood sacrifices to e/affect a desired result?

Thanks in advance

idea of blood scrifice for atonement of sin was created by st. paul, to give totally a different meaning to professed crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
as paul was a jew, so he created this idea to save jews from killing The Messiah

This is such a great question and merits a great answer. Unfortunately, I don't believe there is one good answer. My opinion is that the killing of a living being is the ultimate sacrifice. The permanent end to a living creature that willingly faced (at least in the case of Jesus-allegedly) death because of their belief. Think of how great a tool this is for someone trying to convince others their beliefs are legit? People will certainly stand up and take notice. This is and always has been the theme of nearly all religions throughout history- a sad and depressing pill to swallow.

Blood represents life.

This explanantion is from the bible:

Hebrews 9:9 speaks of "...both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience..." The offering of the sacrifices did not affect the conscience. A few verses later, we find, "For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sactifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, clease your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (13-14). The Old Testament sacrifices could not clean the conscience. Those who offered were ceremonially clean, their atonement through the animal sacrifices was fleshly. It is the sacrifice of Christ which cleanses the conscience, which provides true, complete atonement.

Isn't it the christians who drink the blood of God's son?
At least pagans don't abuse their Lords that way. Have you forgotten that animal sacrifice is part of christianity?

Indeed blood is life and blood rituals are done to affirm that you are willing to spend your life to serving your Lord. If only christians would do it that way the world would be a lot better.

I agree that animal sacrifice is rather dicey since you try to get the animal to bear the load for you, which unless the animal is willing to do is wrong.

Because blood is the "life force". A primitive man only has to watch a handful of other men bleed to death before he comes up with this rationalization. Thus the ritual of drinking your enemies blood, & etc.

In Voodoo and Christianity as well as numerous other cults it is supposed to please god/the gods or the spirits and atone for sins.
