Is it instructed that you will pick and choose the bits from the bible that you like and ignore those which you dont?
For example the bits where it says women should be obedient and wear head coverings in church, and where it says to sell all your worldly possessions,no one (or very few) listens to.
And you all seem to think that jesus claimed he was god in human form and that he said you can all do what you like from now on as your sins are all forgiven, claiming a new covenant.
Is this an instruction from a pastor or church elder when you join?

Edge -you ask for chapter and verse:
"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? . . . Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor; and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." (Matthew 19:16-21. See also Luke 12:33)

WE are instructed on a lot of things. However the Bible says to consider the whole counsel of God. When the Grace of God, that Christ Jesus bought on Calvary saves us as sovereign act of Mercy. We are saved every day from our sins. No one is going to be perfect no one. Not any human being can do all that the Bible instructs us to do and not do. It is impossible. But we have the Blood of Christ that keeps us clean. Because Jesus is our advocate with the Father we are kept daily. Being saved means being led softly through, all the way through to the end. That is another gift given to us. Taking the Bible out of context and not being able to discern the word is why so many people are confused. You must read it in the light of the Holy Spirit, understanding that By grace you are saved not of works lest any may should boast. it is a gift of God. No we don't have the right to live any old way, but if you are truly saved you won't want to live any old way. You will want to be pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ. Will you ever get that done? No because we are always in the flesh and that is corrupt.

The instructions for Christians come from the Bible itself. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who interpret things in the wrong way, either out of ignorance or pride. A true believer doesn't pick and choose what to believe or ignore what they have read. They continually strive to correct their faults even though they know they will in fact be forgiven.

You really don't understand. So I will try to enlighten you a bit.

As far as obedient. The women I know are obedient to their husbands. However the husband has to be a leader like Christ. If He is being a leader like Christ commands then his wife will have no problem with it because he will not ask her to do anything that she would have a problem with.

As to head coverings. Read the verses it says her hair is given as a covering to her.

As to selling worldly possessions you will have to give me chapter and verse. However all Christians I know give to their church and most churches help needy.

No real Christian thinks they can sin as much as they want. I'm not sure where that comes from.

It is what it is. The word does not deviate in that the 10 commandments are still expected to be followed. The difference between Christian and Jew is that we ( Christians) are exempt from abrahimic laws, such as those regarding food and such as we are not Jews. The new covenant was made for us all but many jews still cling to laws instead of grace which is why Jesus was sent. When Jesus gave his life, it effectively ended the need for sacrifice, food laws, laws about how to punish sins and such , as his grace was provided to be sufficient. That does not mean we are exempt from sin and can do so without judgement. I simply means we do not exact punishment or receive atonement from sin through a priest or rabbi as it will now come directly through Jesus to God.

No it's not an instruction, it's just the way many 'christians' choose to live, unfortunately.

If you're interested in a church or becoming part of a religion you should talk to the pastor and ask as many questions as you like, I'm sure they'd be very obliging.

It is stated in the bible that Jesus is God in human for it forms part of the Trinity. You don't choose to pick bits out the bible just cause you don't like them it maybe the case that their are certain parts that people have not read.

What a foolish atheist, who thinks he knows so much of Christianity, and can't even make an argument that is worth anyones attention. The fact that I am wasting about 45 seconds writing this is already too much attention for such a cheap argument.
