You really don't have a choice. Because of the seriousness of the charges, the Judge will not allow you to defend yourself..

A good DUI attorney can get the charges lowered to, possibly, physical control. They know all the in's and out's of the legal system and may get you a lower fine. Depends on how much you can afford to pay versus how much you can afford to lose.

contact a lawyer regardless. usually a consultation is free, and they can tell you if you have a case or not. but be prepared. if you want them to take your case and fight it all the way to jury (the state will usually settle out of court for a lesser charge before that happens), it will run you anywhere from $5,000.00 to $10,000.00

Depends... did you do sobriety tests? if you did and failed them... I wouldnt spend the time or the money.
