Do you have any pictures of her and you or any other family members? If you do I'd make her a scrapbook! They are fun to make and I'm sure she'll love it! Or if your not the crafty type, you could take her out to a nice resteraunt and go shopping at her favorite store; memories are always a great gift! (and if all else fails get her a scented candle. lol) -Hope this helps!

Knowing what my mom liked when she was the grandma and now that I am a grandma, we didn't want or need material goods, what both of us loved is family time. I am in my glory when I go on a trip or vacation with my children and grandchildren. I love to cook for everyone and my granddaughter (though not really a big help) loves to help me make the desserts. There is literally nothing I enjoy more in life than playing and doing things with my granddaughter and spending time with my children and their family.
PS: My job is stressful and demanding, so making a special meal for my family is so much fun.

Uh, you know her. You know something of her likes and dislikes, and you know some of what she does and doesn't have.

We don't know her at all, and you didn't give us any information. How can we possibly know what she'd love to have that she doesn't already?

Start paying close attention to her life, her likes, and try to think of what sorts of things might make her life better (practical things), or what she might love that she doesn't have.

As for specific suggestions, before my mom moved away, we would give her big gift certificates at her favorite flower and plant shop.

That way, she could have fresh flowers in her house all the time. Maybe your grandma would like that. It would brighten her whole year, and remind her of you.

Maybe she would enjoy a gift certificate to get her hair done, or to her favorite shop? Does she like to go to movies? Gift cards for a theatre?

You could also take her to lunch and/or a movie for a christmas gift.. spending time together is sometimes the greatest gift we can give.

all the best.
