I don't think you can choose your sexuality, you're either attracted to a certain gender (or both) or you're not.
You can choose to try and repress it... but that's not healthy.
Not of This World Returns, I don't think people try to hide that they're gay because they don't want to be gay but because they don't want the hate and harrassment that may come from being publicly gay.

I think it's an effort to ridicule gay people. In addition, it seems to me to be a comment on two different points. To think being gay is a choice does not make one gay. It may also mean one is parrotting anti-gay propaganda and not bothering to consider it carefully. The next comment refers to someone different--a person who would think same-sex contact is pleasurable. Of course, that person is gay or bisexual, but it has nothing to do with satan tempting us or choice. It means that the person is naturally gay or bisexual and that is what God intended.

Some people ar bisexual, some are strongly gay, and some are to some degree heterosexual. The prison are full of men who are mostly heterosexual in sexual preference, who perform gay acts in prison. In ancient Sparta, men were brought up together, and encouraged to be sexual with each other, and a lot of them did not adjust to women very well. You may think the issue is simple, it is not. I don't believe that any of this really matters a lot, except to say, one should find the type of relationship that works for you. And you should focus on believing in a good and moral God, that is more interested in what positive value you contribute to society, rather than what sexual preference you have, and who you share youir love with.

I always thought homosexuals were born that way. Why on earth would someone choose to be looked upon as outcasts, they way they are. People who dont like being gay,and hide it, is also probably because of that reason. I think its wrong how we as a society look on homesexuals. Who knows I might be wrong and they really do choose it, but should that make a difference? I feel they are owed just as much respect as anybody, whether they chose to be gay or not, because they are human beings.

I didn't make a choice, I just went with my inner voice.
I did try liking men in that way.
I tried to be married to one. It wasn't for want of trying. I think sexuality/gender orientation is more about degrees, not on-off-black-white hetero/homo. There are degrees of bisexuality, there are actual people born with both sets of genitals too. Others are asexual.
Too much is made of it. What is important is love, respect and honesty. Precious little of that around in all sectors of society.
EDIT
'Not of this world returns' asks:
"if homosexuality is right! then how can millions hide it"
They must hide it because of people like you, and people like Phelps, Hitler, Islamic gay-haters, etc etc.
I have been beaten for being a lesbian. I chose not to hide it.
There's your answer. You're welcome.

i think that people worry more about what other's do and not enough about them selves. and since studies have shown that it occurs in nature i would have to say yes people are born that way.
edit----It's a Choice! How can many people born Gay and they don't want to be gay! how do you explain that! millions are fighting with that! how can you fight against something you "think" is normal!
if homosexuality is right! then how can millions hide it, or don't want to be, or are ashamed of!! How Can anyone answer me!
because too many people care what other's are doing in their lives. to many people hate others so they hide it. and people fight it because they are treated like 2nd class citizens

It does have merit, up until the part about rubbing balls together. Seriously though, what does being gay mean? Like really, to love another man in a sexual way? How do you show your love for the other man, thats disgusting.
