I really want a online football game for my PS3
The thing is Fifa just doesn't do it for me, theres only one way to score (though ball and slot it in corner low) and the graphics arn't all that.
BUT.. I do like that you can have 8 people in one game online and that it has all the licences and tons of online and game extras...
Second PES 2008, I LOVE PES games but apperently the new one is not great, looks nice and stuff but is really jolty and unplayble online.. Also it only has 1 on 1 online..

Can anyone clear this up for me.. IS PES that bad and will there be a patch to improve it, if so when...?

I've played PES 08 on my 360 and it looks terrific. I'm never a big fan of Soccer, but this game was great. Online, however, is better with FIFA because of EA's servers, but PES will get a patch update to fix it's online problems, which arent' that bad. Best advice I can give you, get what you love man.

So far i haven't tried PES online with my PS3 (part of me daren't).
Konami have said they are working on a patch to fix the online and the general slowdown (which is awful in replays, but only now and again in single player and after a few matches you don't notice it so much.), so fingers crossed it sooner rather than later.
Can't speak for FIFA though, tried the demo a couple of times, and it didn't overly impress me.
