Christian is just someone who believes in the New Testament of the bible.
Everyone else doesn't.
Otherwise, nothing really. Christians and non-Christians alike, love, hate, kill, help, etc about the same. I.e. we are all human.
Edit - I guess I should add the word "Definitively", as in "Definitively believe in the New Testament". Other religions also cite the New Testament, including Islam, Mormons, and 'Jews for Jesus'; Christians believe the New Testament is the final word, whereas these others have additional books.

The ONLY difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is that the Christian believes that Jesus died to pay the penalty for his sins (ie crimes against God), while the non-christian doesn't think that's necessary.
(Hmmm - does that sound like a "holier-than-thou attitude? I don't know, cause I'm of the group that needs forgiveness, and I know it full well.)
Sorry - that was a side issue, and unrelated. The point is that the Christian knows he needs a Savior and forgiveness. a non-Christian doesn't trust Jesus in this way.

in my eyes as long as you are true to yourself and your beliefs who cares what you are.
edit----Christians are saved because they believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again. Christians are going to heaven because of that.
Non-Christians are going to eternal hell because they don't believe that. They can become saved at any moment, however, by believing that.
this is a typical christian answer you get when you tell them you dont belivie in what they do....with the number of religons out there how is it possible that most belive theirs is the only way and they are all right? its not possible

"I have examined all of the known superstitions of the world and I do not find in our superstitions of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all founded on fables and mythology. Christianity has made one half the world fools and the other half hypocrites." - Thomas Jefferson

depends on what kind of christians youre talking about. because there are a lot of sects...anyhow...Jews, Muslims and Christians all believe in the same god. the other religions either have no gods(atheists) or too many(hindus).
