Chalk one up for the unbelievers.

If I can believe the "truths" expressed by these other answerers, this question is not promoting the Kingdom of God dear.

Sorry. Unless you have a brilliant come back, you must admit your argument was a poor one. I know you meant well!

We need to focus on the message "God is LOVE".

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

The Hitler quote was a heart breaker.

He murdered my own Jewish grandparents, in his "final solution" ethnic murder-fest.

Worse, Hitler effectively misrepresented the teachings of the Prince of Peace.

In saying "... I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord's work." ... Hitler slandered our Lord terribly.

God is not to blame for the evils men do in his name. Hitler was not a Christian, unless the syphilis made him insane.

Jesus was a murder victim, not a murderer!!!

On behalf of the YA Christians, I acknowledge that the Germans considered themselves Lutherans.

The Steven Weinberg quote...
"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion."
is apropos.

Atheists, forgive us for giving God a poor argument today...but we'll be back!!!

God loves you...yes, even you atheists...and we believers do too. Holy scriptures say "GOD IS LOVE". At least believe in love!!!

I confess we can not blame all unbelievers, any more than you can blame all Christians.

There is good and bad in all of us, but God's still working on us!!!

We will not be perfect until we meet Him in the after-life!

"SHouldn't atheists be ashamed of this?" Why would they? Atheists aren't an organized group like Christians or Jews or Nazis, they're all individuals whom happen to believe in logic and reason instead of mystical superstitions, therefore the actions of one atheist from the past has no bearing on atheists of today. We can learn from his brutality, a warning of "what not to do", but we aren't responsible for it in the way that Christianity spawned the Crusades. Atheists don't need to "deny" anything, as I said, they aren't a "group" and have no ties to other Atheists or their actions because they are all individuals (understand?).

Secondly, Pol Pot killed lots of people for lots of reasons, religion was hardly his motive, as he wanted to remove any semblance of western culture from his nation.

As for Micheal P, his answer is pure religious pandering and is hardly the "best answer" presented here. I'd say the majority is just theist propaganda, "God loves you...yes, even you atheists" lol I don't need the love of fictional characters, I have real people in the real world who love me, and I think it's sad that so many people need to invent an imaginary friend to love them from his magic sky kingdom

Pol Pot didn't kill people because they were Christians, he was radical communist (it's also western ideology). And I don't think that all of his victims were Christians. Atheists have nothing to do with his crimes, and as far as I know Pol Pot was a Buddhist monk in his youth... War in Cambodia was not a religious war.

Pol Pot was raised as a Buddhist Fundamentalist.
He and the Khmer Rouge were intent on "Purifying" Cambodian society. They wanted everybody to leave the cities, give up modern technology and return to the "Old Values" of simple peasant living.

It had absolutely nothing to do with atheism and whoever told you it did has lied to you very cruelly.

Note that Pol Pot, like Hitler and Stalin was educated in Christian Catholic schools.

The Bible is the information of Christianity. close by individuals weren't presented to the bible until eventually 1800's. there have been societies, kit deal holders, incredibly some products to hold your prolonged relatives and ideology at the same time. No Bible to back that way of existence. Catholics and Mormons got here and created their very own "handbook" for his or her faith. you additionally can "religiously" brush your tooth each morning. the way, the reality and the easy. The Lord.

We all know that you can't blame these things on the majority since most people are not this extreme. I have many atheistic friends who are very nice people. They just need to know that it isn't how nice we are that God exists for us. He is and acknowledging him and believing in his son's sacrifice everyday is how we attain heaven.

Are we somehow responsible for the actions of a raving lunatic totalitarian? He had anyone he considered a threat killed, it wasn't just a matter of not believing in gods. Linking atheism to his actions is about as sensical as linking his ethnicity to them.

You have to understand that atheists have no compunction nor sense of responsibility. Instead, they deny, deny, deny. Even Pope John Paul II finally started going over errors committed by the Roman Catholic Church and admitting to at least some of them. That's a sign of integrity. Constant denial, on the other hand, is a sign of deep dishonesty.

Don't worry, they'll have plenty of canned excuses to use for their denial rituals.
