what's the highest/lowest rate you ever heard of??

Each state or country sets their own rates for getting a drivers license. Call and ask the agency that issues them where you are. My last one was free since I'm officially a senior citizen.

Depends on the State. Check your states DMV site or call them. Average for the 3 States I have lived in is $20. Ohio was 4 years, Florida 6 years for safe drivers and Arkansas is 5.

Here in Tampa, Fla it is $20 to get one and $15 to renew it.

it depends on the city and state that you come from as well.
i heard once that i state(not sure which1) said that you became past 50 you could get a discount or get it for half or something

I just paid 20 dollars to renew mine for 4 yrs.

That depends on where you live. Call your local drivers licence bureau and ask them. I am sure they can answer any questions you may have.
