We (humans) argue with 'religions' and end up (mostly all the time) hating each other.... for nonsense... just cause we all give God a different name... and we give the world a different 'creation'....

who cares how the world began... the thing is that we are here.. right?.... and who cares what name God has... the thing is that there's someone out there or something that we believe in... (and we don't gotta) ...as long as we don't live in -war- ...and arguements... for what i believe is complete nonsense!...
so yeah....why is it so hard for us all to get along... why is it that we gotta argue and hate each other... I mean,... i know this is only 'one' of the many things we all don't get along... but if we (humans) quit this 'religion' stuff ... i believe we'll kind of fix our earth a little more... cause right now... this world (humanity) is just broken... so yeah...

or give me your point of view...?!

".. for what i believe is complete nonsense!..."

That's the difference between the atheistic viewpoint and the religious viewpoint. It means something to them, and to some it means more than others.

Differences aren't bad. If they were, then democracy would be too. It's when there's the idea that "this way is right and all others are wrong" springs up is when it becomes a bad conflict. Religion is just one issue that people can find a difference of opinion in, to get rid of it wouldn't make humanity any different.

I think religion brings as much good as it does bad. I don't think it's for all of us, but some people feel better with a religious belief, and I don't feel I'm one to judge that that's wrong just because it's not for me. It all just takes a bit of respect from all sides.

At this stage of our development, coupled with our handicap of having evolved from aggressive monkeys, it is patently impossible for there to be world peace. There's simply too much ignorance, hate, and short sightedness for that to work. Only a scant few have achieved the humanism you're supporting, and others who are close dismiss it in jadedness. I believe they are matters worth striving for, even if the majority of the world isn't. What other idiots do shouldn't dictate your own actions, so try to make this a better world. I'll help on my end.
And to answer the last part of your question, I'm rather certain that if religion was abolished now, people would still find reasons to kill each other. But it'd still be a good first step.

We will never be able to fix this earth, and yes humanity is broken, that is because people have excluded God from their lives. I agree with you, get rid of religion, Believing and obeying God is not a religion, it is THE GOSPEL, the gospel is not a new and improved religion. The gospel is an affront to religion. It is the end of religion, the end of all systems of works designed to make us acceptable to God. The gospel, by contrast, tells us that God himself has already, through Jesus Christ, made us acceptable. The gospel is good news; religion is bad news; and the gospel wins. Christ is victorious. Sin is vanquished. So therefore, man made religion is why we will never get along.

The reason we (or at least I) argue is because of Christians telling me that my beliefs aren't valid, then turning away when they realize I have a legit argument. The reason I argue is because when a Christian approaches me and asks me what faith I follow and I tell them, they try their hardest to "recruit" me to their religion. Even after I say no and it's obvious I'm not interested, they still try as hard as they can to get me to merge. The funny thing is, I DO believe in God. I just don't believe in the man made bible. And for that, I am chastised and left to defend the reasons behind that.

I think you're 100% right about everyone getting along. I don't normally like reading the Religion & Spirituality section, because it's mostly abused and turned into a forum of hate. I have friends who are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Atheist. We are able to get along because we respect each other as individuals, and we don't put labels on each other.

I have full confidence in the ability of people to find reasons to hate and not get along in a wide range of circumstances.

Firstly... I'm not a human.

Secondly... religion doesn't have a butt nor a vadge to "screw".

Thirdly... no, we can't all get along because without competition and global hostility, life as we know it wouldn't exist.

We could keep the religion and still get along, just like the Dalai Lama, Ghandi or MLK.
