Men are genetically built differently. Not only do men naturally have more muscle and bone mass but they burn calories at a higher rate. In addition, women are designed to store nutrition for the nourishment of an infant. As men age, their eating habits catch up with them and their metabolism slows.

I eat like a bloke but have managed to stay in good trim! I run a mile and a half four times a week and do aerobics once a week. Being a mum to a two year old also helps to keep the weight off. Even when pregnant I excercised, I checked it was ok with doc first though! Many people have said that youo wouldnt think that I have had a baby. Thats because I look after my body!

Well I know plenty of girls who can stuff themselves and stay skinny. The trick is not to worry about it too much. Just eat what you feel you want to eat. Forget about all the 'rules' coz you'll still never be quite the right size. Guys are just generally more confident about their appearance and so are easily more attractive even thought they may not necessarily have the perfect body. So eat what you feel like eating and don't worry about it. But that doesn't mean eat and lie around. Eat and then go kick a ball around or lift weights or do push-ups or change a car tire.

If you look at all 40 something men I have a theory that all the fatty food stores up and then explodes around middle age hence the huge belly and flubber! Plus they pay for it through heart disease and cholesterol too. Just laugh and if you don't like the aforementioned skinny lad give him some more burgers and chips and snigger!

it all comes down to burning calories and using energy... yo know stuff like that. young boys in particular will tend tend to be rigorous in their activity and can manage to compensate for the vast amount of junk food taken so look at the bright side at least you live the more relaxed life

on average men produce 10x the amount of testosterone that women do. this gives us a substantial natural metabolic and strength advantage. this is why men have substantially more muscle mass and higher resting metabolic rates. it's all basic human biology. it's physiologically impossible to sustain a high amount of muscle mass with low levels of circulating androgens such as test and dht.

True that is. Most men will be more active in their every day lives compared to the average woman. Thus leading us to be in better shape than the average woman but feat not, most men get lazzier as they get older and woman become more active.

Men have more muscle mass. Muscles burn more calories than other body tissues. Therefore they can eat more. If you can add muscle mass, then you too could eat more....
