Our youngest cat has a habit of taking us home presents, last time was a bat and the time before that a baby rabbit, both were unhurt and didnt heven have a mark on them. What is the most unusual 'present' your cat has taken home?

Our cats got a chicken in thru the cat door somehow. My parents woke up to a chicken going crazy in the living room and the cats having the time of their lives. We had chickens and the cats never bothered them but for some reason they decided that a little chicken to play with that morning might be fun.
Our dogs gave us an horribly unusual present one morning. They trapped a skunk on the front porch and would not let it leave. Yep, the dogs thought that was the most fun they had ever had. The humans and the skunk were not too pleased with the situation though.

My cat, bless her, seems to go through the motions and gets scared at the last minute. The other day, she bought me her first mouse. I tried to praise her through the laughter. At first, I thought she was playing with a piece of paper in the kitchen. Looked closer and realised that it was part of a glue trap (as the paper turned over, Mouse Glue Trap was written in big letters on the other side). The mouse was dead, but fully intact. Leaves and dirt were stuck to the rest of the glue. I think she had the right idea, but suspect if faced with a live mouse, she would run a mile.

I have indoor cats, so they can't bring anything creepy in. There is a certain toy of theres that looks like a small stuffed fish with long feathers on it that they would always put into their dry food bowl. I've been wondering why it always ends up there. Same toy, same bowl.

When your cat brings these "spoils" back home and presents it to you, it is doing what any hunter would do- bringing a token of success in the field to someone it regards as family. Wild cats do this as a social gesture, and when your domestic cat brings you such a prized gift, you should take it in the same vein.

We had two cats Gandalf and Bilbo and they used to bring "Presents" for us...the most weird...We heard a commotion downstairs and the house was full of feathers. In the living room was our two cats chasing a black crow around who was desperately trying to avoid them! We managed to get him out of the room and he flew away but the cats wer'nt too impressed I can tell you! lol

Just a moth and a mouse.
She also tried to drag a magpie in, but the bird wasn;t having any of it, and soon scared my cat off and flew away.
The cat doesn't kill things though, just brings them in, and goes back out or lies down to sleep !!!

Ewwwwww!
My cats are indoors-only, so they're limited as far as prey. But they regularly leave me spiders on my bedroom pillow! I guess they figure I need a little nighttime snack before I go to bed.

Have had slow worms, frogs, rabbits, a squirrel, and dead and live mice (two live ones dumped on my bed by different cats). Guess they think Mum isn't very good at catching her supper.

A sock! My cats were indoor cats, so their choice of prey was quite limited, but my youngest cat would "kill" a sock and leave it wherever she wanted then looked quite proud when we exclaimed about it!
