If we cannot remember not being alive and cannot remember being dead then death ends our physical life but we go on. What do you think?

If you mean by your comment, that one can have a sense that they have continuosly existed spiritually, I agree. I think the idea, that one lives one life after another, with one new body after another, can feel very right, if you throw away the indoctrination in this area, a traditional religion may have put inside you. You definitely must focus on the world you live in, if you will have to deal with a similar reality to this, again and again.

We don't remember anything outside our physical existence because the property of our brains is what our existence actually is. When your brain ceases to function you are no more.
