Added after I read the DNA page more carefully:

You'd need to buy both tests, for $278, if you are male, to get the full report - one test for your father's side, one for your mother's. If you are a lady, a brother or a first cousin who is the son of your father's brother would do for the male side.

Then try a DNA test. However, it has been noted that the company that analyzes the test might have a smaller sample of some groups than others and you could get different results. More than a few groups challenged the first DNA test analysis that she had.

Go as far back as you can by paper trail; that may give you some clues as to the tribe.
