YES i do but Xmas is not a religious time for me it is a time to get together with family and friends and be together. And appreciate each other. So celebrate life and how lucky we have been over the year
Easter is not a religious time for me but was an excuse to eat more chocolate
The reason for this is so my children fit in with the rest of society and just because i see Xmas differently i want them to make it some thing special and personal to them even if they do put a religious angle on it, that is their choice.
As an ashiest i want my kids to make their own choices on every thing , i have been asked by my kids is there a god i tell them i personally don`t believe it, but it is up to them to believe their own ideas ,so if they feel happy believing there is a god then fine that is what they want.
Same as i don`t agree with religious families forcing kids to believe what the parents do.
I think that what any one believes is personal and individual to them and all the better if it makes them happy.

When I "Celebrate" Xmas, I see it as an american holiday, not religious one. I am not celebrating the birth of christ, I am celebrating the begining of a new season. Family togetherness, all that good stuff. I dont celebrate easter personally.

I celebrate the change of the seasons, which just so happen to be around the same times that the holidays occur/

So-called christian holidays originated from pagan celebrations. We still celebrate them. You really should look into the history of holidays like Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.

Not a dumb question, but it does get asked about every hour. The answer is yes, we do. Atheists use it as a time to be with family, relax a bit, and maybe exchange some gifts. There are no religious implications. It's mainly a commercialized holiday. Has been for a long time.

i'm pagan and i love celebrating! at easter and christmas time, we celebrate yule and ostara as our religious holidays (which is where christmas and easter originated from). but we also partake in christmas and easter as a more secular holiday and we give gifts.

many pagans follow the wheel of the year and have 8 sabbats, all of which are a good excuse to get together with family for ritual, feast and fun!

Most holidays today have dual meanings depending on who is doing the looking - both christmas and easter have become secularized & commercialized. It is up to the individual if they choose to celebrate and how they choose to celebrate. Myself, the only holidays I choose to celebrate during the year are Halloween & Memorial Day.

I celebrate the commercial aspects of these holidays, and do not mention any of the religious undertones.

The same way many religious people today, celebrate hallowe'en just for fun, and don't go on about it's pagan origins.

I celebrate the easter bunny, and santa claus.

It's not a dumb question. I do celebrate the holidays. The above is a way of life. Don't confuse with cults such as religions. Religions are the ones that have restrictions. Think about it. You can't wear pants or you must wear little head coverings, or you can't drink but yeah it's okay to have sex with someone you love whether you are married or not.
I hope this answers your question. :)

We Pagans have many holidays throughout the year, and the so-called Christian holidays have their basis in the old Pagan celebrations. We just had Samhain (secularly Halloween), which is our new year. Today is the first day of the new year for us.

Since most christian holidays are pagan ones, of course they do!
Atheists on the other hand celebrate what they like when they like.
I like being with family during the holidays and exchanging gifts is always fun. No need to worship an imaginary sky-pixie to enjoy that.
