french toast... french fries...

Seriously, will you have access to an oven or stove?

Quiche is fairly simple and is a classical French dish... eggs, cream, cheese and bacon baked in a pie shell and bake.

Quick Quiche Lorraine
This rustic pie is beloved in its native Lorraine. Easy to make, pair it with a salad for a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS:
1 layer pastry dough
4 slices bacon, crumbled
4 eggs
1 cup half and half
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 cup Gruyere cheese, shredded

PREPARATION:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Fit the pastry into a deep-dish pie pan. Sprinkle the bacon onto the bottom layer of the pastry. Beat together the eggs, half and half, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour the eggs over the bacon and sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake the quiche for 45-50 minutes, until the eggs are set in the middle. Cool slightly and serve.

Crepes!! They are delicious and very easy to make!! And you can add anything to them, cheese, omelette, Nutella, bananas, sugar, tuna...whatever crosses your mind!

INGREDIENTS (for 8 crepes)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted

DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot.

Or you can make some Gratin Dauphinois (Yum!)

Gratin Dauphinois Recipe
Ingredients
3 pounds (1.5 kg) baking potatoes, such as russets, peeled and very thinly sliced
2 cups (50 cl) whole milk
3 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 bay leaves
Freshly ground nutmeg
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup (25 cl) creme fraiche or heavy cream
2 cups (about 5 ounces; 160 g) freshly grated French or Swiss Gruyére cheese

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with the milk and 2 cups (50 cl) of water. Add the garlic, salt, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally so that the potatoes do not stick to the bottom of the pan. Reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring from time to time, until the potatoes are tender but not falling apart, about 10 minutes.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer half of the potatoes to a large, 14- by 9- by 2-inch (35.5 by 23 by 5 cm) gratin dish. Sprinkle with the nutmeg, pepper, half the creme fraiche, and half the cheese. Cover with the remaining potatoes, and sprinkle again with nutmeg, pepper, and the remaining creme fraiche and cheese.

Bake, uncovered, until the gratin is crisp and golden on top, about 1 hour. Serve immediately.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings

Are you looking for desserts? Appetizers? Main courses? How many people do you need to provide food for? Stove or oven? There are a TON of dishes that can be made, start to finish, in under 2 hours. It would take way too long to list them all unless you give a few more specifics.

You can always go to foodnetwork.com and look up any of Rachael Rays (aptly named) 30-minute meals. Those meals can all be cooked from start to finish in under 30 minutes.

You can go to Recipezaar and find the recipe sifter. This will allow you to choose from which part of the world you want the recipe to be from, and how long it will take to prep it.

Good luck!

Make crepes. The first few will come out pretty bad, but after that it will get better. You can keep them warm in foil paper in the oven. Spread the crepes with nutella and fill with fresh sliced berries. Fold in quarters. UUUMMMM!
