So she had her babies on easter, 3 little bitties, And then we noticed her voice was gone. When she meows it comes out sometimes as loud as a loud airy noise and it is now november. Im concerned about her. they only get like a table spoon each of wet food on top of a tiny bit of dry food. I dont think they eat enough, I free feed my cat, she doesnt abuse it. I just need some advice. thank you.

It may be that when cats have kittens, they become quiet in order to protect their offspring. They want to protect them and refrain from anything that would draw attention to them. Prior to that the female is seeking the attention of a male. In the wild predators fear that their offspring may even be killed by their male consort.
