I cannot abide to be around crowds of more than 100 people, and as a result have never attended a rock concert or professional sporting event once in my life of almost 50 years. The "teeming masses" are a repulsive mind disturbing peace destroying herd of mindless beasts. Give me the wide open wilderness places with the birds, the bears, the foxes and the bees as my companions and maybe a few friends here and there.
This aversion to crowds is a relatively common phobia Demophobia or Enochiophobia, and I as a former concert pianist could not perform unless the audience was out of sight with my back to the audience!

Generally I am not fond of being in a huge crowd of people, altho it doesn't usually bother me, except when I'm shopping around holidays & some people tend to be rude & oblivious to other people, or when at an event & some people become overly rowdy & obnoxious. I usually just go with the flow most of the time.

Well, I live with four of my 5 siblings. And 5 of my 6 nieces & nephews. Both of my parents also. The other sibling, her husband, and daughter come over basically everyday although they do not live with the rest of us. I definitely value my space and like the right to mark my territory. Sometimes, I like to keep to myself and have distant communication (over the phone, online, in passing) with others; excluding the bf, of course :->
I also love people, but basically, I DON'T LIKE staying in one place too long IF I DON'T KNOW everybody. I start to feel very self-conscious after a while. Most likely, someone, or a few someones IS/ARE watching. At the same time, I don't have a problem with people just looking at me. I am very friendly. What I have a problem with is people judging me, and I don't like feeling awkward not knowing who is staring and talking about me in a huge crowd. At least with less people around, I see who is talking and can handle it right there. (By handle it, I don't mean fight. :->)

I live in Manhattan, so my life is one big huge crowd. Although I'm used to it, I look forward to the weekend getaways when I can leave this city.
So to answer your question, I deal with huge crowds by default, but I enjoy my time away from all of that.

Not really but sometimes I have to be with huge crowds as in this weekend going to a college football game. I'll just have to suck it up and go with the flow. Sometimes even going to wal mart when there are lots of folks around I go in and get what have to have and get out. I guess its one of the biggest phobia's I have.

I enjoy the lesser more, I need a driving good motive to go to
a place of what I think of as a huge crowd gathering, But if I
think it important to be there it's okay, but relieved when it is over.
