I was upset with my mil and I was telling her off in her face. I did not hit her or had plans to. She told me that something told her, if she hits you pick up something and knock her down. Little did she know I was pregnant with my third child. If she was to actually carry this out, would she go to jail. My mil receives a check every month and she goes to the mental health center. She is 55 years old. She said after this she would call the police. Maybe she would be the one heading down to the police station in handcuffs.

if I were you i would stay away from her she sounds very unstable and a bit dangerous to be around.

Well I am having a hard time deciphering this question as it is grammatically errored. But here it goes, I am deciphering, I was pregnant with my third child when my mother in law and I had a confrontation, even though we did not fight but I feel she had intentions she would have gone to jail??
Ok. If she hit you and you went down, she would have been charged with Assult only, which she would have gotten out of jail time as she has a mental problem.
If she would have killed your unborn child, she would have been charged with Murder without intent and she still would have gotten off as she is a mental
and Thirdly, if she killed you , she would have been convicted of murder,probrally without intent, cause she would had said she didn't mean too cause she was incapacitated, and she would have gotten charged with the time but didn't serve any time in jail but served time in a mental hospital, which she goes to anyhow, so the bottom line? Deal with the fact she has a mental problem, stay away from her and don't let her touch your child.

Why are you messing with someone who is mentally unstable? No she will not go to jail. She will be lodged in a mental asylum if she does any such thing you mention. By the way what is wrong with you? Why cant you express properly so that others could understand your problem and help you?

dis **** is str8 crazy haha id be crackin up if i was there but then id probably get bottled and knocked out but its all good.. soldier on!!! and hell yea she would go to jail, depends where ya live but thats assault or intentions to cause bodily harm thats a pretty mean sentence. i got locked up for assault with weapon got 8 months imprisonment but it was an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon but throw a few thousands round and lawyers will do anything to drop the charge..

Your question is confusing. Hey, what is your question, anyway? Who is your "mil" and what is it that she did? Is it something she was planning on doing? If you hit her and she knocked you down it's more likely to be considered self-defence than attempted murder, especially since she didn't know you were pregnant.

No she would not go to jail because of her age and her mental condition. she would probally just be put in a Mental health facility till proven not a threat to the world.

It would be a lesson to all of us,Never get angry or tell in their faces words that would sadden or anger them,So always use a good approach with positive words which also be understood of correcting,people who go to mental centers need support with love and care,and they should be handled with all precaution,and with all alertness in their daily activities and movements.

If she's mentally deranged, WHY are you bothering to tell her anything?! To her face or not? Keep your distance.
And no, she probably wouldn't have gone to jail for striking you BACK b/c (1) she ws defending herself, (2) she didn't knowyou're PG, and (3) she's mentally incapacitated!

Stay very far away from her. She sounds completely off kilter. You cannot rationalize with someone like that. Quit wasting your precious energy and stay very far away. You have a baby to think about. Good luck....and I thought my mil was bad news!
