now it's obvious that it looks like this question is directed at believers in the God of the Bible, and it is in part....
I would also like to hear from those who believe in other gods or have other modes of spirituality.
As well, for our Atheists friends, what is more important to you, your country or your immediate circumstance (well being, where you live, personal interaction that affects your personal life etc)
Also, I'm not interested in the declaration of independance or any quotes. I am looking for a direct response from your heart, regardless of the country in which your live (I am Canadian)

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." -- Psalm 33:12 KJV
Blessings flow from top-down, straight from the source. Thank you Lord Almighty! ;^D

It's God over country. For God is the infinite source of everything as you can not have a country without God. God created the world and everything in it. You can love and serve your country because it's God's creation. Everything good created by God must be appreciated by everyone. But the Supreme Being, which is God, must be placed first and foremost in our hearts. You can not pray to your country to grant you peace, blessings and protection. With God, you can put your trust in Him, pray for blessings, peace, strength, love, joy, guidance and all. Pray with all your heart to God and He shall always be there to listen and answer. Love God above all things for He is the Giver of life.

God is always first and foremost in my life, but this country(USA) could use some help. Where I live (KY) is probably the highest taxed state, but we still make the lowest wages. It's a hard living here. Don't get me wrong, I do love it here, I just need some relief.
God Bless You, & thank you for listening.

Neither. There's no such thing as gods and it's pointless to love something so abstract as "country" -- because even if it actually exists, it's incapable of returning your affections.

My immediate circumstance and my friends are first in my heart. Everything else has to vie for my attention.

Neither.
Primary in my life is the end thereof and the return to non-existence.
Secondary is personal resolution and my immediate interests toward that process.
Tertiary is anything extraneous to myself that demonstrates significant influence over my process of attaining the aforementioned resolution.
And I don't give a toss about anything else.
Country? God? Family? All entirely disposable.

God first. The earth is my country, and all humanity my fellow citizens. I have a particular passport because I was born in a particular place through no effort of my own and because human law requires it.
