If you do, its going to creep up on you. Sometimes when you receive a virus, you immediately feel it and know something is wrong. But you wont get the symptoms for a few days after. Depends how close you were to these people. Standing directly in front of them speaking with them, you will likely receive a virus. This is because of the saliva that comes from their mouth tends to catapult its way towards you. And shaking their hand is the most common way. I really hope you dont get sick. I had a bacterial infection in my throat a month ago. It grew into an abscess that would have killed me if I hadnt gone to the doctors. They put me on antibiotics and whats next? Antibiotics kill the anaerobic bacteria in my intestines so my food doesnt digest right and im on another medication. And this medication makes me feel like Im having a seizure lol. I swear those drug companies got you on a hook. A cure and a poison all in one pill. Oh my. And so you know what i did? I bought probiotics and yogurt. I am taking NATURAL products to heal myself and they've been working much better than the medication.

It depends on whether or not you were in direct contact with them or were within 3 feet of them when they coughed or sneezed. You can only get their illness if the bug that they are carrying makes its way into your system... so if you touched their hands that they coughed on and then wiped your nose or ate something that you touched, then the chances of you getting ill are pretty good. If you were in line with a sneeze or cough and within 3 feet, you could have breathed in the germs... they say that germs only fly 3 feet... I think sometimes maybe more with a sneeze but I think you can understand what I'm getting at. The bug had to get inside you... the BEST way to prevent getting sick at any time is to WASH YOUR HANDS. That is the single most important way to prevent the pass of infection. The normal flora (bacteria on your body that fights germs) stick to your body quite well, bacteria like that from the flu don't stick too well... so if you wash your hands reguarily, you can get rid of the bad stuff easily.

It all depends on the sickness of course. Some sicknesses are contagious and some are not. In general, you shouldn't share drinks, bed, and food with a sick person. Depending on your human system also, you'll be more or less sensitive to sicknesses. However being around sick people doesn't mean you'll be sick.
