On the last day of creation, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Genesis 1:26). Thus, He finished His work with a “personal touch.” God formed man from the dust and gave him life by sharing His own breath (Genesis 2:7). Accordingly, man is unique among all God’s creations, having both a material (body) and an immaterial (soul / spirit) part.
Having the “image” or “likeness” of God means, in the simplest terms, that we were made to resemble God. Adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. Scripture says that “God is a spirit” (John 4:24) and therefore exists without a body. However, Adam’s body did mirror the life of God, insofar as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death.
The image of God refers to the immaterial part of man. It sets man apart from the animal world, fits him for the “dominion” God intended (Genesis 1:28), and enables him to commune with his Maker. It is a likeness mentally, morally, and socially.
Mentally, man was created as a rational, volitional agent—in other words, man can reason and man can choose. This is a reflection of God’s intellect and freedom. Any time someone invents a machine, writes a book, paints a landscape, enjoys a symphony, calculates a sum, or names a pet, he or she is proclaiming the fact that we are made in God’s image.

This is found in Genesis 1:26. We are made in the image of God because we, too, are triune beings. Just as God is Father, Son and Holy Ghost, we have a body, soul, and spirit. We are born with a body and a soul, only those that accept Christ will be completed with the spirit (which is received at salvation). The spirit will testify to our salvation when we enter heaven and those without the spirit will not be able to enter.

God is the Supreme soul. Man is also a soul (a human soul). All soul's immage is the same: infinitesimal point of subtle luminous energy. And in this way we are all made in God's immage. Resemblance too is there in some books. Divinity is what makes us alike God. When God created us we were alike Him numberwise that is we were divine numberwise. We are not that now anymore or at least not as much as in the begining.

Bcos man cant imagine more than that. Today our universe is 4 billion light years away from us. Man cant even imagine 1 light year. Due to his ignorance he rejoices when he reaches just few million kms. Smallest particle is 10 power minus 30 metre.Man cant imagine even 1/1000 of a millimetre.
Imagining the God who created all these things with man shape shows man's ignorance and failing to understand his surroundings.

Because Moses could not imagine anything (,any form )better than that of Man.. Indirectly , it amounts to saying that god has the image of Man.

I think you haven't got it right. Should'nt your question be framed the other way around? God has been created in the image of man by man.

God was talking to the angles when He said something like:
“Let us create man in our image”. Who do you think the “us” and “our” were?

Man rules over all creatures of the earth as God rules over everything. on earth. And Mankind has the same spirit as God.
but God gave us a Mind to think for them self, and that led to our down fall. because fpr example a human father wouldn't want his kids to be forced to love him because a good father doesn't their are some kids out their who hate their dad because their dad does certain things but the dad is doing those certain things because it is the best for the kid uts the same with God. God might not always do what you want but its best for you. and everything happens to increase your learning and maturity.
