I wouldn't say they were believers. They could either be exploiting a vague likeness to make an Ebay buck or they could be so off-base on the meaning of life, that they are looking for enlightenment in mold patterns on Wonder Bread. Which is scary and soooo not what Jesus (if he exists) would have wanted. Don't you know, Jesus is Jewish? He only manifests on loaves of unleavened bread!

Ed,
there are multiple groups of people out there. Some look for religious expressions in everything seeking a sign if you will and they are going to see "something" be it mary or the loch ness monster in and on things.

true christians, that is the mystical body of christ, the ones in whom the Holy Spirit dwell don't see Jesus on bread, in oil stains and such. They don't buy into this.

So in answer to your question, true believers do not see Jesus appearing on bread, and such.

Because, quite simply, when we see a vague (maybe if you squint) face shape appear on our toast, we just say, hey... cool, that looks like a face and then proceed to have breakfast.

Why would we automatically assume that face was there for a reason, and more surprisingly of a specific person... Jesus.
