Yes I know God the Father is head of the church - actually it says, "Christ is the head of the church". Eph 5:23 (But the two are one)

Do catholics put someone else in the place of Christ?

A little bit of truth, misconstrued.

The pope is spiritually responsible for ALL the people on earth and for helping ALL Christians lead a holy and godly life.

Most protestants reject the pope's influence, and don't even bother to read what he has to say, although he has written and spoken some really remarkable things. His first encyclical, "God is Love," is an amazing bit of theology that any Christian could benefit from reading.

Anyway, while protestants (and Catholics, too) are free to reject the pope, that doesn't mean his responsibility is void. He still is obligated to help all "enter the narrow gates" and find salvation in Jesus.

As for "genuflecting at the Vatican steps" -- that shows a marked lack of understanding for Catholic theology. We don't genuflect to the Pope, we genuflect to Christ, because as the Bible says, "Every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord."

Oh, and the pope has no say as to who is saved and who is not. He prays for our souls, but salvation belongs to Christ alone.

Do not be deceived about churches
Acts 17:24&25
2 Thessalonians 2:9
2 Corinthians 11:4
Seek the bibles truths before you say your church is the true church as you may be decived.

The Pope of Rome is the head of no true Church. However, if he is willing to abandon his heresy and schism and humbly return to the Orthodox Church, he will be welcomed.

Jesus Christ is the head of the church! Ephesians 5:23
The Pope isn't any more the head of Christ's church than I am or you are! That title and honor belongs solely to JEsus Christ as declared by God Almighty!

The only "Holy Father" is God, who is also Jesus, the true head of the Church, not the pope.

Of course the truth is that Protestants are actually Catholics in schism, Catholicism and Protestantism are like two brothers who have argued and gone their seperate way`s one full of hatred and animosity for the other, now where in the Bible have you see this before?

Protestants do know that god is the head of their church aswell. i am a protestant and we believe in the trinity and in god but we believe in taking our sins straight to god to ask for forgiveness not through the minister as it is only god that can forgive sins.

To refer to anyone other than Christ as the HOLY FATHER is blasphemy. Accept Christ now as your Savior before it is too late. Praise the LORD.
