Green tea is loaded with antioxidants that your body needs to help repair damaged cells. It's low in calories, and the caffeine offers an extra kick for mornings. It is a natural diuretic, so drink with caution if you'll be away from a restroom for any period of time.

I personally think that it's overrated. They say that by drinking it you "burn" 70-80 calories a day... It always amazes me - how can food, or drinks, whatever, "burn calories"? I think it has some benefits, but they are so exaggerated and over rated, that maybe you will get the same benefits from a cup of clean water - hydration, help to lose weight and so on.
Look what FDA says about it: "FDA concludes that there is no credible evidence to support qualified health claims for green tea consumption and a reduced risk of gastric, lung, colon/rectal, esophageal, pancreatic, ovarian, and combined cancers. Thus, FDA is denying these claims. However, FDA concludes that there is very limited credible evidence for qualified health claims specifically for green tea and breast cancer and for green tea and prostate cancer, provided that the qualified claims are appropriately worded so as to not mislead consumers."

It is very healthy for you BUT it can also inhibit the intake of iron... I was told not to drink it while I was pregnant for that reason.

Other than that I'm sure it's healthy I used to drink bucket loads of it and have always been very healthy with it.
