Bratwurst is a Sausage, usually served on a chewy hard roll, not a hot dog roll. Pork,beef and some times veal are used to make them.
It's hard to know what will taste good with Brats if you never had one. My favorite is Sauerkraut =)

I love mustard and fried onions on my brauts but you have to boil them first and then cook them on the grill!!!! That's the best way to eat one!! You should really try one!! That is If you like German Sausage.

a brat is a polish sausage . it is very good my favorite is johnsonville. you should try it.
