Atheists are possessed of an unbelieving spirit. So it may look that they are in possession of an unclean or "low spirit". The metaphorical language of the Bible is additionally a literal language. They (atheists) particularly and genuinely very own and/enable habitation of an unclean spirit of their vessel. words are the fruit of concept (or the shortcoming thereof). You choose a tree by capability of the fruit it bears (questioning, words, movements, deeds). seem at all of the flaws atheists have concept, stated, did and finished then you relatively can for sure see this may be a forbidden tree. This tree is neither beautiful, nor does it carry out properly for nutrition (non secular) or gasoline (sustain our bodies and homes). Atheism denies and it supplies no substitution to replace what it denies. they are as empty because of the fact the 'ineffective'. they have no 'in-sight' or inner easy/existence. they are the nihilists.

Why do you think they don't? They are people just like everyone else. Ask the next atheist you come across that has had this happen to them and they will tell you that the experience changed them forever and changed their title to believer. Atheists are very vulnerable for such a thing to happen because they don't work with a spiritual connection to protect themselves. It's the believers that are the ones that never get possessed by demons. When I say believers, I mean their house and their heart belongs to God.

People don't get possessed by demons anymore, that was just around until Jesus cast them all into the lake of fire.

Yes it would make more sense though.

I am far from being atheist. These guys or gals obey the bible more than a lot of Christians do unknowingly.
Shun the devil and he will flee from thee. Therefore they can peacefully and fearlessly live their life's given to them no matter how they got it, they still have free will.
They are as probably as sick of this hell and damnation stuff as I am, and I am like Paul said," I become all things to all men". The judging and condemning of our brothers, weather we like them or not, we must still love their souls. The holier than thou attitude is worse than being an atheists. These people probably have more love for their fellow man in their little finger than most of us have in our whole hand. I have a long way to go to be like HIM. Some of these blessed people of God whether they believe in Him or not, probably give more to charity than any of us would put in the offering pan for a decade. Man is body, soul and spirit, just because they do not know consciously that Jesus lighteth everyman that cometh into the world and when man dies his spirit goes back to God who gave it. Their soul knows it whether they believe it or could care less. They probably love their neighbor's more than we could ever possibly think, so, therefore they are fulfilling the law of the universe by loving their neighbors as themselves. Lets take the log out of our own eyes before we take the splinter out of someone else's eye. So if we believe in hell, fire and brimstone, which I don't, we might as well go shopping for a fireproof jumpsuit because we are going to need it too, when we rub shoulders with them in hell, that unimaginably place where souls burn forever and ever. When God says there is no beginning and there is no end. It doesn't matter if they believe in God or not as long as God believes in them. As long as they do unto others as they do unto them. It's an irrevocable law of the universe called cause and effect. The Bible teaches JUDGE (NO MAN) we are your own judge and jury and our own hangman.

Demons, who only exist in the imagination of some people, can only possess the minds of those people in whose imagination they dwell at the first place.

Because there's no such thing as demons. Atheists recognize mental illness for what it is.
