The United States is NOT like the Philippines where teachers work for the central government. In the United States each school system hires their own teachers.

I believe you need to be a graduate of an accredited college or university, with a 4 year degree, and at least 5 years of teaching experience in the Philippines and you must also pass the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination before you are eligible.

If you are qualified you will need to check with each individual school district in which you are interested in finding employment. You usually find Filipino teachers in places like Dallas, New York City, Boston, Chicago, etc...

If the school district is interested in hiring you they will be required to prepare and file all the paper work. They will also be required to pay all the fees involved with obtaining your visa. All you will be required to do is show up at the US embassy for your appointment with the necessary documentation.

Any "recruiter" who asks for an advance fee from you is ripping you off. The system does not work that way.
