I've never seen so many serious answers to one of these questions!

Because he knew that, although people are quick to judge, very few of them can lift a stove and actually throw it on a momentary whim. Thus he makes the person stop and consider his or her condemnations before working up steam to lift and cast the stove at the accused.

Jn 8:7 So whilst they persevered asking him, he lifted up himself, and stated unto them, He that's without sin between you, enable him first solid a stone at her. there's a double which capability to this fact. Your question refers back to the main hassle-free which capability - and you're splendid - the 'christians' are actually not Christians (yet) as long as they injury others in any way. They 'pass against' the coaching of their very very own saviour because of the fact they don't look to be possibly Christian yet use the call to lie to others. they are the 'wolves in sheep's outfits Jesus warned approximately. Mt 7:15 . pay attention of fake prophets, which come to you in sheep's outfits, yet inwardly they are ravening wolves. the 2nd which capability refers to 'casting a stone (at her - the church) for a origin' - and Jesus is coaching: Whoever overcomes their ego and enters into the fulness of the information of the Spirit often is the origin stone of the Church on earth. you notice, inspite of all of the claims, of all of the 'church homes' - the Church of Christ with Christ as its head has not yet been common on earth. whilst that's, all of the theft, all of the homicide, taxation, ailment and dying would be not greater. The 'woman' 'caught in adultery - represents the soul, Jesus writing on the sand represents existence's reports with the aid of time receiving an coaching and the accusers signify our very own egocentric recommendations approximately existence who slink away whilst the sunshine of existence is made apperent.

"STONE"
Because all those evil mongrel Edomites had taken over the priesthood and puppet government and did not obey the truth to any serious degree, therefore Yahshua knew their hearts were wicked. The true believer is given the Spirit of Yahweh after Acts 2 and can life a perfect life in this present evil world, BLAMELESS. Of course, the pagan churches would never teach such a thing, the pews would be empty and the people stone the one that teaches such.
Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Change the word 'perfect' to whatever you like, it is still teaching we are to be LIKE OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.

To show we are quick to judge others and try to punish them while we oursleves don't like to be treated that way and find it easier to look at other people's faults than realise our own and also to demonstrate that he who truely is without sin, would not throw the stone at all, but rather would be compasionate than judgemental.

Didn't catch the typo at first. Guess some of the other answerers could do with my explanation though.

I believe the correct quote is "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". This goes along with the "take the beam out of your own eye before you take the speck out of your neighbor". Jesus did not want us to sit in judgment of other people's sins when we have sin ourselves. I also believe this was stated when the community dragged an adulterous woman out into the street and were going to stone her to death. There is but one judge...God.

Jesus said that knowing that nobody is without sin except Him. So all the religious leaders who brought the woman before Him were not qualified to execute judgment and they walked away from the scene. But Jesus who is the only One qualified to execute judgment sought to forgive the woman and encouraged her not to sin anymore. This supports Jesus' assertion that that He came to save mankind and not to judge and punish mankind.

Don't know if it's a joke or a typo, but here goes:

Because he expects us to be non-judgmental like him. He was the only one in that crowd who was without sin, and he wouldn't consider casting a stone.

Jesus didn't only preach this, he practised it. He was known for telling people that their sins were forgiven, and also for meeting up with people who were considered 'sinners' by the rest.

Because casting a stove is really hard to do, and so most people, when confronted with this order, would just say "F uck it."

It's stone, not stove.

That means none of us are really fit to judge another's sins because we are all imperfect.

Okay, here's the deal.
The Pharisees are a little upset with Jesus, because He had healed a man on the Sabbath. Although this did not break any Biblical Laws, it went against their traditions. So, they want to set Him up. Here in John Chapter 8, they lay a trap. They bring a woman who has been caught in adultery to Jesus. "What do you want us to do?" they ask.

The trap? Well, Moses tells us in Exodus that she should be stoned. But John 18:31 reminds us that Rome has taken over Jerusalem, and will not allow Capital punishment for religious crimes. So... If Jesus says stone her, He breaks the Law. They could take Him to Ceasar for murder. BUT if He says don't stone her, he breaks the Mosaic law. WHAT WILL HE DO?

Remember, Jesus said that he didn't come to break the Law, but to fulfill it. He says "whoever is without sin, throw the first stone." Every one else walks away. Who is the one without sin? Jesus. So Jesus is about to throw the first stone. Without getting into all the references here (use a concordance to look up stone, and rock) the Bible clearly shows that the rock is symbolic of Jesus. So He presents Himself to Her. He stands toe to toe with her sin and rescues her.

She dies to herself, saying "Lord, they are gone." Placing herself in submission to him.

Then the judgement "then neither do I condemn you."

And the ressurection. "go and sin no more."

It is appointed to man, once to die, and then the judgement.

Okay, the bible shows us that :

a) Jesus is the rock

B) when dealing with unbelievers, we should hit them with THE ROCK until they die. AKA, present them with Jesus. until they die to their pride and submit to His Lordship.

And always remember John 3:17
