Keep an eye open to the future but don't over plan it. If there's one thing about life is that it is unpredictable. Keep yourself from doing dumb things, like starting a drug habit, jumping in front of moving trains, or not finishing high school, and leave the rest up to the moment. Some people spend way too much time trying to make the future perfect or trying to fix past mistakes that they don't enjoy right now. What you like and think is fun is different when you're a teenager vs. when you're 20. Your needs at 20 are somewhat different than they are at 30, and 40 and so on. Just like your needs at 15 are different than they were when you were 10. And once you're 20 you can't get 15 back.
You can have an idea of what kind of carreer you'll like but you can't know for sure until you try a few things. You can't know for sure what kind of man you'll be happy with until you date a few. Things will happen to you that you never could have predicted and will change your plans.
You're always changing. The world around you will always be changing, sometimes in predicable, and sometimes in unpredictable ways. The best you can do is to embrace this changing world and have as much fun as you can while you move through your life.

Learn what "emotional intelligence" is: if you are willing to wait and EARN your accomplishments (for example, you can't become a great guitarist overnight), then you are on the road to a successful future. Being able to wait for a goal (and doing the work necessary to get there) is the primary key to success.
In "show business" there is a saying that "Success = preparation + opportunity", but that saying applies in all areas where success is desired. Luck helps, but if you are prepared for an opportunity your "luck" will be a lot better. There are no 100% guarantees in life, but being prepared for what you are trying to achieve is your best strategy towards being "lucky" (i.e., successful!) in life.

Good question! I m taking you mean like...being in a business employing yourself....or having a job you love!
Here are some of the wise gems that will help see you through adulthood! :)
Set small achievable goals to reach the bigger goals. And of course, with every goal, you give yourself deadlines. With every achieved goal, reward yourself in some way (making deals with a parent is perhaps a good idea).
Memorising everything you read without understanding is no good!
Understand other countries' cultures would be good if you ever go into "world trade" or "import/export". :)
Can what you love doing....be a service or product to people who want it?
Be initiative without being too generous....be yourself even if it means you crack silly jokes in front of customers.
(I had one who didn't smile till I handed him a Skeleton pen I got before a halloween charity. Yep...I didn't believe he wasn't happy with my top-notch service! lol )
Offer options for difficult customers. Remember you may not be serving them again (whew) lol....so keep smiling no matter what. Customers are always right but your sanity is more important. (You keep your sanity by smiling and telling yourself you're smarter by letting the customer think they're smarter!!)
Even if you do not deal with customers directly it pays to treat your colleagues the way you wanna be treated. Afterall, you do not know when THEY will become YOUR customer.
Sieze opportunities - contests competitions, etc. You may have fame working in your favour and even if not, you will be motivated by awards, etc.
Be generous with praise where needed!
Lastly, every one whose name is in your address book can become valuable sources when you send them invites to say....a (your) private boutique sale or charity event. Keep them PRIVATE!
To learn more, look for books written by success coaches like Alex Mandosian, Stephen Pierce, etc. (I have at one time bought one by a Napolean Hills and also saw some severalvideo recordings of Stephen Pierce on YOUTUBE, etc.)
Good luck....you will be successful!

Create reasonable short term goals for yourself and ALWAYS have a goal toward something that you would like to achieve.
Never settle for less than your original goal was.
