PS3 games are region free, however PS1/2 games and movies aren't. By the way there both standards in Asia (NTSC J and PAL regions - it depends on the country).

ok dont listen to these fools ps3 games ARE region coded i owned an asian version ps3 brought it to the US couldnt use it had to sell it had to buy a new one... why region coding... didnt wanna play the games i bought in the US... trust me... the region is code is on the side of the games boxes its a little square on the side below the title of the game its white it has a number indicating the region (i think) then a globe.... if you bought a US game itll have the number "1" on it... one game i bought from the philippines (asia) didnt have that on the side of the box.... meaning its not region coded... some games really dont have region codes.... but not all... i hope i helped you i dont want you to make the same mistake i did...

Yes, as long as the format is correct (which it should be) (NTSC/PAL) the PS3 games are not region locked.
