I've wanted to try this for awhile and I always mean too but can't find the courage to do it. Should I just go to the library in my socks without any shoes? It sounds wierd but I have the urge to do this so bad and I can't help it. What do you think?

Only in the US would anyone even care. I was just in the library barefoot last week here in the Netherlands and no one looked or commented at all.

At first was wondering if you were thinking of going 99% nude, and don't think that is good idea. What is library policy about shoes. Socks almost cost as much as shoe, so wearing them out rapidly doesn't seem to swift.

That would be cool, just to see if they are paying attention.
I would do it in a second. That kind of thing won't hurt anyone, and it sounds like fun.
More power to you, and BRAVO on you individuality.
I would like to know how it turns out .. will they even let you in. I think they will as people don't usually look at other peoples feet to often.

I used to go to school in my PJs, so why not. I fear it won't be as easy for you to go in socks what with the no shirt- no shoes- no service policy. My advice: Wear long, wide-legged pants.They'll never know. Good Luck!

What a funny place to have a library! ..... Seriously though i would go just for a laugh as long as it is fair weather. You could go round on tip toe saying sshhh!

I don't mean to be rude or mean however, next you'll be asking if you can go to the library or supermarket in a thong and socks! No don't do it and risk getting your feet stabbed by something!

Go for it my friend why is it when abroad we walk around almost naked with bare feet and no one bats an eye lid you do what you feel you need to do?
Just be careful of pavements and the wet ok!

why don't you compromise, go to the library in normal clothes, find some books, and when you sit to read, kick off your shoes. If you just want to hang out in the library with no shoes, then please restrain.

I'm struggling to think of a reason why anyone over the age of 13 would care what you had on your feet.
