I would say I could be qualified under Pentecostal. Even though religion or denomination shouldn't clasify a Christian, but I believe on Pentecost. I believe in that experience that people had in Acts 2, where they were all gathered in one accord and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe that we as Christians today are also able to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, by simply asking for it. I really do not like to be clasified as a religious person because it's not about being "religious," take Paul as an example. To me it's about developing a real relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will borrow from what Brother Don S said:
I am a Christian that believes and depends on the Gifts of the Holy Ghost.I have also been filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.I do not believe that we should make a show out speaking in tongues. Our God is one of order, and not one of confusion.
I am non-denominational.
I agree with Full Gospel Shirley most often I spend a lot of time telling why I am not one of those types that gets carried away with "religious emotion" instead of the spirit.
The Holy Ghost is not a fool and will not stand for being mocked as some churches do. The gifts of the Holy Ghost are very real and should not be imitated.

I believe it is the Charismatics that are more into it, among some independent Pentecostal churches . The Charismatic Movement is the international trend of historically mainstream congregations adopting beliefs and practices similar to Pentecostals. Fundamental to the movement is the use of spiritual gifts. Among Protestants, the movement began around 1960. Among Roman Catholics, it originated around 1967.

I am an Apostolic Pentacostal Not by denomination, But by a New Birth & Have been one for over 37 yrs. I believe in the Apostles doctrine, In One God, One Spirit, One Faith, One Baptism, One Truth, I believe in repenting, & being baptized in water by complete immursion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, & I believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. I also Believe in Eph 4:11-17 which speaks of a 5-fold ministry that is speaking the same thing to perfect a Bride. & Yes, I believe there is a ministry today that will preach the same doctrine as Isa. 52:8 speaks about that they shall see eye to eye.

I always used to say I was pentacostal, but I am careful to use that term nowadays. Because there are so many kinds of pentacostal churches all over that go from a to z as far as beliefs. so when you say you are pentacostal, the first thing you do for a half hr is explain that you arent one of those way out there new versions that have left many Bible truths and brought in new age stuff and psycology. I am pentacostal, as I believe in the full gospel and I believe we msut obey it. WE have a new nature once being born again, that of Jesus Christ.
But, I am not about doctrines, I am only about finding out about what God says in His word and thru revelation and then just doing it Obedience is still the key and it is a requirement.
But, just like many other churches are changing as new stuff comes in, and some is good and some is not of God at all, we see that even in our own church, stuff is coming in. So , God has shown us that it is only about Him and what He says, and not about the man made stuff ppl have been bringing to religion for years. Religion kills. But Jesus saves, heals and delivers, and brings to us a new life, an abundant life, and brings life to the words of God.
If you had asked me many years ago, easily I would say I am pentacostal, but even then some had some traditions that lingered that werent of God. We must sort out what is man made religion turned into doctrine and get rid of it, while holding on to the Truths of GOD in His word, as HE revelas so much more in these last days. Mysteries of the Bible being revealed to so many. BUt, as usual, man gets involved. You listen to the new teachings and along with so much true revelation is also coming in a lot of man made stuff, even psycology and new age.
God will give us the discernment to know whats right and give us grace and Holy Spirit Power to overcome all sin, doing whats right as we know it. But, unless we walk in obedience, God wont give us all of His blessings to do that. Disobedience seperates us from God.
Thanks for your question, and I pray that ppl will begin to look at things in a whole new way, and KNOW its only what God says, not what any church says or doesnt say. We were in a church a few years ago where the pastor said that we no longer have loyalty to the HOly Spirit, our loyalty was to church leadership, pastor and elders.. Oh yes, we left.
Much is coming in folks that isnt of God. TO know, you must know God and His word and just do it.
I count it all as joy.
