If you were to die and enter Hell, what do you believe would happen exactly? You can make a short story out of it, for instance. "The car hit me and in an instant moment I saw myself spiraling into a world faster than the speed of light until I suddenly came to a hault on a rocky platform overlooking a dark river. Then after 5 minutes of standing I see something ahead in a rowboat paddling slowly towards me, I was alone ..." etc.... Thanks for answering.

As an atheist, I don't believe in hell, but if there were a hell, it'd be like "Telemarketers' night" at the Ice Capades.

A few people have written books about Near Death Experiences and could tell everybody what was going on even down the hall from them. Some literally got a glimpse of what hell was like. They were not Christians and had no religious backgound.....Revelation 20:15, Mark 9:46-48, Matthew 5:22, Like 16:22-23,Psalm 8:17

First of all, hell is not burning now. The judgment has not happened yet. What kind of judge would send people to their punishment prior to their court date? Not a very just one. Because we know that God is just, we must assume that hell in not burning yet and there are no people there.

We know that there will be two judgments, one for the righteous and one for the wicked. The righteous will inherit eternal life and the wicked will be cast into hell. Revelation states that these two judgments will be 1000 years apart.

God will give people every opportunity to accept the gift of eternal life, but ultimately, He will not force anyone to live forever. In the end, God will allow people to choose their ultimate destination. Those who chose to live forever will be saved. Those who chose to perish will die the second death, from which there is no return. How long the lake of fire burns purifying this earth from the disease of sin, no one knows. But, it will not burn forever. Once all the fuel (people and evil angels, including Satan) are burned up, the fire will go out and God will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness will dwell forever.

Jesus paid the penalty for every person sins, but many will refuse this offer and will have to pay the penalty for there own sins by burning in hell. Hell will simply be the purification of this earth by fire after the judgment of the wicked has finished.

Eternal life is a gift from God. The wicked are never promised eternal life. They will not live forever, even burning in hell. What kind of God would burn someone forever just because they rejected His offer of mercy? The soul is mortal until we accept immortality by believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior.

As an atheist, I believe a mystical place called Hell, removed from this world, does not exist. However if it were existing, it would be something like Iraq.

As an atheist hell, like the idea of heaven, doesn't exist. Hell, however, is a necessary concept in the fear based cult that is religion.

Hell doesn't exist, so I'd describe it as very non-existent but unpleasant fantasy place some people imagine it would be nice for others to be tortured in eternally. I have to ask you what sort of person would entertain thoughts of that nature?

Hell is right here on earth, we have to struggle with it and our own free will every day. The atheist just don't want to make an effort. It's just easier for them to deny the truth that is right in front of their face! They don't believe in hell; that's not really a fair question; they don't even believe in evil either. They just want to have their own way with people that don't know any better.

I'm an atheist, so Hell is sitting in heaven, on a cloud, with the angels singing, and the Fundies telling me how Right they were, over and over, for all eternity.
